I lead business development at DeepBrain, a neurotechnology startup building non-invasive neuromodulation. Before this I worked in applied AI, won a series of national competitions, and completed a year of national service.

This is what interpretability looks like.
From working on my dissertation on central bank statements, I started to get more and more interested in how the model understands things. With my work at DeepBrain, I began to question this further, and I am continuing down that line of reasoning. From this question, I have started to expand it, working with different people to build in this space.
Two questions sit side by side here. Readability asks how much effort a sentence demands of a reader. Interpretability asks how a model arrives at its meaning in the first place. Central bank language is a good test of both: precise, hedged, and dense on purpose.
As a language model reads, each word draws on others to make sense of the sentence. Hover a word, or watch it read on its own, to see which words it leans on and how strongly.

What motivates me, and makes me apply myself across every field I work in, is asymmetric information. Through everything I have done, I try to dig deeper: a market can price things wrong, and a model can look right at first, but dig deeper and the truth shows itself.

I grew up in the UAE, and came of age in Cyprus: a year of mandatory service with the Greek Cypriot National Guard, before the degrees and the startups. It left habits that outlasted the uniform: concise reporting, task discipline, and composure when the plan changes. In startups, as in the field, it always does.
